Instagram Reels NEW Feature

🥳 Say it ain’t so, another Insta addition to REELS? Yup!

If you haven’t jumped on the REELS train, I don’t know what you’re waiting for. Reels is a mega algorithm booster.

If you’re a TikTok creator, then you’ll be very familiar with this new update, as it’s similar to the Duet feature. Remix will allow you to record a video in response to someone else’s Reel.

You can Remix any Instagram Reel *as long as the creator as enabled the remix access.

To enable Remix access on your individual Reels:

👉🏼 Go to your reel and tap the 3 dots on the lower right hand corner (…) then, tap “Enable Remixing” to turn it on or “Disable Remixing” to turn off.

You’ll have to do this to every Reel OR go to your Settings and open your Reels up to the public. *Reminder, this also means, you’re opening your content to millions of potential collaborators on Instagram.

To enable/disable Remix in your settings:

👉🏼 Go to settings on Instagram and select “Privacy.” Then tap “Reels.” You can switch between Enable Remix

Now, when you find a Reel that you’d like to “Remix”
👉🏼 tap the 3 dots (…) on the lower right corner of the Reel and select “Remix This Reel”
👉🏼 record (or upload) your own Reel (which will appear on the right hand side of the screen)

You can change the speed of the video, add effects, touch up, add a timer, align and edit the video as you would on your own Reel.
